Who are we?
Daven - Founder, News and Previews Writer Contact: admin@touchaholics.com
Daven is a young teenager that has a lot of interest in gaming for the iPhone and iPod touch. He believes that the start of the great era of iPhone games will happen someday, and that we have yet to see a whole new generation of better titles to hit the App Store. Starting up touchAholics solo, he has had a little help from Oaqque to improve the site and make it the best it can be.
William Ye - Secondary Admin, Reviews and News WriterWilliam is an excited teenager living in Australia Sydney. When he got his first iPod Touch for his birthday he treasured it as the most wonderful thing that has ever been given to him. He loves his Mac and loves writing articles whenever he has time. He is a massive fan of MMOs especially FPS and RPG. Apart from gaming he's interested in Web Design and his idol is Michael Heald whom he adores.
He thinks that Apple has truly some interesting ideas but agrees that some of their ideas can be plain stupid. In the Mac vs PC battle he takes no sides and agrees that they are both awesome. He basically loves every company in the world besides Sony. He thinks that Sony has absurd ideas and are amazingly overpriced.
His favourite App Store games would be Minigore, Fruit Ninja, Tilt to Live and Chaos Rings.
Jeff - Public Relations Lead, Reviews Writer Contact: jeff@touchaholics.comJeff sees a lot of potential in the App Store, since nowhere else will you be able to download games immediately, and for such a great price. The App Store is getting more and more quality games of late, and soon Jeff believes the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad will be just as popular as other handheld consoles for gaming on-the-go. Certainly, the App Store has come a long way since it’s conception.
Jeff’s favorite genres include first person shooters, fighting games, and action and adventure games in general. He is an avid writer and gamer, and he loves how the iDevice can serve so many different uses and purposes.
Jacques Burdet - Reviews Writer Contact: jacques.b@touchaholics.comJacques is just another guy who likes to play electronic games. He got his iPod Touch when his dad offered it to him, and has been addicted to it from then on. He is a pretty open gamer and likes to play a wide variety of games but his favorite types of games are dual stick shooters.
Victor Fernandez - Reviews WriterVictor has been playing video games since he remembers it. Starting with the NES (yes, that old-school) and from that point on, always going in favor of Nintendo consoles (although not a fanboy), currently owns a Wii and a DS, but is looking for the possibility of owning a PS3. Initially was a bit skeptical about the capacity for gaming that the iDevice offered, but after having it for a while, he realized there was much more than met the eye.
He has many favorite gaming genres, as he thinks is not about in which slot you classify it, but how it plays, pretty much he will play just about anything. His favorite AppStore games include: Chaos Rings, Jamzu, Carcassone, Tilt to Live, Toki Tori, TowerBloxx, Assault Squadron and Meteor Blitz, among others.
John - Reviews WriterJohn has been playing video games since he got his first console, a Nintendo 64. His favorite console games are Metal Gear Solid, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, and Phoenix Wright, just to name a few. His favorite genres are usually RPGs, point-and-click adventure games, action or fighting games, and first person shooters, but he'll enjoy any game with engaging gameplay or a good story.
However, the iPod Touch is his most used gaming devices since it has tons of great games in addition to music, videos, and more, all in a pocket sized machine that he can bring with him anywhere.
His favorite App Store games include Chaos Rings, TNA Wrestling, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars, and Call of Duty: World at War Zombies, among others.
